ABS, Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, is one of the commonly used materials in 3D FDM printer, which is a kind of common thermoplastic polymer. It has many good performances, such as good rigidity, high impact strength, heat resistance, good mechanical strength and electrical properties, easy processing, good processing dimensional stability and surface gloss, easy painting and coloring, it also can undertake secondary performance processing, such as spraying, electroplating, metal welding and splice. Due to the nature of ABS combines the characteristics of three kinds of components, it has excellent comprehensive performance and becomes one of the first choice materials in electrical components, household appliances, computers, and instruments. ABS engineering plastics is not transparent, the pale ivory color appearance, non-toxic, tasteless, the characteristics of both tough, hard, just slow combustion, flame yellow, have black smoke, plastic softening after burning, burning, issued a special cinnamon smell, but no molten dripping phenomenon. It has excellent comprehensive performance, has excellent impact strength, wear resistance, chemical resistance, dyeing, processing and machining is better. Water resistant ABS resin, inorganic salt, alkali and acid, insoluble in most of the alcohol and hydrocarbon solvent, and easy to dissolve in aldehyde, ketone, ester and certain chlorinated hydrocarbons. It is more suitable for use in industrial printing on functional products than others.
